Join Pia (500hr RYT) for an afternoon of getting out of your head and getting acclimated with going upside down!
During this workshop we will discuss alignment, internal actions, and how to set the groundwork for a safe (and fun!) inversion and arm balance practice. We'll spend this time in both movement and discussion on inverted and arm balance asanas, exploring details that we typically can't go over in a standard 1 hour vinyasa class.
In Part 1 we will be covering basic foundations for all levels, and if you are new to the practice, it’s recommended to take Part 1 if you’d like to attend parts 2 & 3.
Attend one class or all three! All levels welcome, bring yourself, your mat and an open mind!
In this workshop we will continue to practice social distancing and masks are required.
Part I: Saturday, Feb 20th from 2pm - 3:30pm
1. Bakasana (crow pose)
2. Salamba sarvangasana (shoulderstand)
3. Sirsasana (headstand)
Part II: Saturday, Feb 27 2pm - 3:30pm 1. Eka Pada Koundinyasana B (flying splits) 2. Parsva Bakasana (side crow) 3. Salamba Sirsasana B (tripod headstand)
Part III: Saturday, March 6 2pm - 3:30pm 1. Pincha Mayurasana (forearm stand) 2. Ganda Bherundasana (chin stand) 3. Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand)
